SuccessPro Embedded Relay Installation ( MODERN ECA )

SuccessPro Embedded Relay Installation (Modern ECA)

For new installs. Spring '26 blocks new classic Connected App creation, so new installs use External Client Apps (ECA). See SF_EMBEDDED_RELAY_INSTALLATION_LEGACY.md for the classic Connected App version.

1. Create the External Client App

  • Setup -> External Client Apps -> New.
  • Basic Info:
  • External Client App Name: SuccessPro Embedded Relay
  • API Name (must be exact - matches the component's default): SuccessPro_Embedded_Relay
  • Contact Email: dev+{tenant}@actifi.com
  • Distribution State: leave Local

2. OAuth Settings

  • Enable OAuth Settings: On
  • Callback URL: https://[tenant].actifi.com/api/v3/app/salesforce/consume-signed-request
  • Selected OAuth Scopes:
  • Access unique user identifiers (openid)
  • Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)

3. Canvas App Settings

  • Canvas: On
  • Canvas App URL: https://[tenant].actifi.com/api/v3/app/salesforce/consume-signed-request
  • Access Method:
  • Signed Request (POST)
  • Locations:
  • Lightning Component

4. Click Save.

5. Policies tab → OAuth Policies

  • Permitted Users: change to "Admin approved users are pre-authorized"
This will expand options under the "App Policies" section:
  • Selected Profiles: add the profile(s) that need widget access (e.g. System Administrator)
  • Selected Permission Sets: add any permission set(s) that need widget access, if used instead of/in addition to profiles.

6. Click Save.

7. Provide ActiFi the Consumer Key and Secret

  • External Client App Manager -> Find the App -> Click "Edit Settings" from the right-hand menu -> OAuth section -> click Consumer Key and Secret
  • Send both values to ActiFi.

7. Install the SuccessPro Embedded Content Lightning Component

  • Install via the package link ActiFi provides. Leave "Install for Admins Only" selected.
  • Note: the org must be using My Domain to install the package.

8. Add the Component to a Record Layout

  • Navigate to the record layout (any object - Account, Contact, User, or a custom object) -> Edit Page.
  • Add a new tab, named "SuccessPro" (or a custom name).
  • Drag the SuccessPro_Embedded_Content component into the new tab.
  • Configure properties:
  • Relay State (required): the relay state name provided by ActiFi.
  • Connected App Name (required): defaults to SuccessPro_Embedded_Relay - override only if the External Client App above was named differently.
  • Alternate Salesforce Id Field (optional): API name of a field on this record to use instead of the record's own Id.
  • Alternate SuccessPro Id Field (optional, advanced): which SuccessPro column to match the lookup value against. Valid values: userId, sforceContactId, sforceUserId, sforceLeadId, tenantSpecificUserId, username. Work with an ActiFi developer to determine the correct value for your use case.
  • Team Context: Work with an ActiFi Developer to configure
  • Component Height (pixels)
  • Component Top Margin (pixels).
  • Save.

Supported Relay State Types

These reflect a resolved target user (e.g. Contact record); others always show the logged-in user: User Dashboard
