Configuring & using the Metrics Column/Bar Chart Tile

The Metrics Column/Bar Chart tile allows the display of multiple metric(s) and value types on a single tile for quick analysis and comparison of multiple metrics or data points. Fig 1. Is an example of a metric Column Bar Chart displaying the metric Net Income, net income value Types - Plan & Actuals, as well as the metric Gross Profit, and gross profit value Types – Plan & Actuals.

Dashboards: User, Team, Coach, Executive.

Hitting the filter icon allows you to select the period or year for the metrics values displayed on the tile. Hitting the VIEW SHEET button opens the reference/ associated metric sheet feeding the tile display as shown in Fig 2 & 3.
You can make applicable input changes here, generate links, view reports, or export .csv of metrics.


Configuration

From Admin, click Tiles
In the Tiles screen, click the +New button.
In the +New screen, check the Active box, choose the tile type: Metrics Column/Bar Chart, Name the Tile, select the Display On (dashboard) option, select height and sequence, then click Save details. After saving details, you’ll be prompted to add the  content group . Choose the content group you created for this Metrics Column /Bar Chart.

From the Tile configuration section, select the reference metric sheet feeding the tile display. Enter offset years if applicable, the width of the tile, and tile display chart Type. Hit Save Config.

From the Metric Templates section, choose the metric(s) template or data points from the reference metric sheet that will display on the tile. In this example: Gross Profit & Net Income.

In the Benchmark Group section, you can add a benchmark group and benchmark if applicable. To learn about configuring and using benchmark groups and benchmarks click  here 


Fig 4. Is a scenario where a benchmark group and benchmark has been added to the metrics display on the Metrics Column/Bar chart. Fig 5 is the tile displaying metrics and benchmarks added in the user instance.
In the Value Types section, select the appropriate options for value types for your data points/metrics as displayed in our example tiles.
From the Footer, Header & No Data sections, select all applicable options and hit Save Config
