Advisor Roadmap Experience: Creating, Viewing, Updating and Sharing Goals

Creating a Goal for an Advisor

To create a goal for an advisor, follow these steps:
  • Navigate to the Goals tab
  • Click on + New Goal, or
  • Use the quick advisor search menu to add a new goal

Here, you are creating a goal for Dorothy Zbornak.


After hitting the + New Goal button, there will be options to create custom goals for an advisor (Quick Create) or goals associated with available Objective path content (Help Me Find a Goal).

Creating a Custom Goal

Below is the process for creating a custom goal from the quick create screen. You can:
  • Add a custom goal name
  • Set target/details
  • Specify a due date
  • Add Topic Tags
  • Provide custom recommendations for the advisor

Creating a Goal from Available Objective Path Content

Below is the process for creating a goal from available objective path content:
  • Select the content
  • High level objective
  • Click on the Detailed objective
  • Hit the Select Objective button

In the select objective screen, de-select any recommendation that will not be included in the advisor’s goal that you have created.

Viewing Goal Details

To view the goal details, click on the goal. The goal is assigned to the advisor Coach Test. You can track Dorothy’s goals and recommendations progress, add notes, and share goals with a team of advisors.

Sharing a Goal with Your Team

To share a goal, follow these steps:
  • Toggle the share button
  • Choose the team to share the goal with
  • Gain visibility to the goals and recommendations for all advisors on your team
  • Generate reports, links, or make changes from the share screen
  • Options include changing the owner, copying, cloning, or deleting the goal


Goal Screen Options

  • Toggle between active, canceled, on hold, and completed advisor goals with the status bar
  • Access view report and cog from the share button screen
  • Use the follow toggle to enable notifications for advisor goals actions/updates

Edit Follow Settings

To edit or change your follow settings:
    Click the drop-down from the profile icon
    Select "my settings" as shown below
    Click "Save Settings"


Advisor Goal Options

  • Create/generate a business plan
  • Generate a summary of goals report
  • Create a link for an advisor to update an assigned goal


Using the Goals Tab

From the goals tab, you can:
  • Quick add a goal from the Quick Add Goal search bar
  • Search for an existing goal or enter/add a new one with new recommendations
  • Hit the cog to export all created advisor goals for more detailed analysis
  • Select from active, on hold, complete, or canceled to toggle between current goal statuses
